| Blessings and Ceremonies | ||
We provide a blessing service for those wishing for an experience with a difference. This service is mostly used for weddings but could also be used for graduation ceremonies, engagements, birthdays or any other celebration. There is no set format for the ceremony as each is tailored to the individuals' requirements, but as a guideline a ceremony for a wedding blessing would include the following: - Setting in the grounds of Khao Chee Chan Buddha Mountain Insert picture of Buddha image - Refreshments on arrival for guests - Elephant ride overlooked by Khao Chee Chan Buddha Mountain and arrival at the ceremony for 4 people on the elephants (2 elephants wearing ceremonial robes) - Monks to carry out the blessing ceremony - Food and refreshments - Photographer & CD of photographs - Elephant rides available for other guests at an additional cost (200 Baht per person) We will set up the ceremony site, dressing it with flowers and candles as appropriate, along with a seating area for guests. The 'guests of honour,' for example the married couple, will take an elephant ride overlooked by Khao Chee Chan Buddha Mountain whilst we collect the monks from a nearby temple. Once the monks have arrived the guests of honour will join the other guests at the ceremony site where the monks will commence the blessing. The monks will then receive their offerings of food, eat & complete the blessing. After the monks have left the ceremony guests will be served more refreshments and photographs taken. They can also wander through the beautiful gardens at the foot of Khao Chee Chan Buddha Mountain and/or take an elephant ride for an additional fee (200 Baht per person) Please contact us at info@theelephantmahoutproject.com if you would like more information on this service |
