**option on a daily basis for volunteers staying at the camp, volunteers staying in guesthouse/hotel accommodation will get the opportunity to stay at the camp and ride their elephant to the forest on one evening, returning early the next morning to bring them back . All meals included except Sunday: ( We are happy to cater for any dietary requirements ) 6.30am Accompany your mahout to the forest to ride your elephant back to the camp** 8.30am Continental breakfast served at the camp (volunteers staying in guesthouse/hotel accommodation will be collected between 8.00 - 8.20am to travel to the camp) 9.00 - 10.00am Training with your elephant in the forest 10.00 - 11.30am Feeding and showering your elephant and keeping its living area tidy, general maintenance of camp 11.30 - 12.00 Lunch served at the camp (traditional Thai food such as rice with stir fried vegetables and chicken - food is served 'farang' (foreigner) style i.e. not spicy with chillies available to add 12.00 - 1.00pm Rest & Relaxation 1.00 - 2.00pm Training with your elephant in the forest 2.00 - 3.00pm Feeding and showering your elephant and keeping its living area tidy, general maintenance of camp. Optional activities/trips also available. These include visits to local temples, schools and markets and learning traditional Thai crafts. 3.00pmVolunteers staying at the guesthouse can either join the optional afternoon trip or be transferred back to the guesthouse. Volunteers staying at the camp have the option of joining the optional trip, continuing to care for their elephant or enjoying free time. 5.30pm Ride your elephant to the forest to its resting place for the night ** 7.00pm Dinner (traditional Thai food) On Saturday you will finish at the project at 12.00 after lunch.
