Lake View Elephant Camp is 'far from the madding crowd' of Pattaya, but most things are within a 20 minute drive away and we run an optional transfer service (for a small fee) each day. We are also happy to arrange transport if needed. Most things are available to buy but if you have a favourite brand of toiletries, for example, we recommend that you bring them with you.


There is a shop at the camp (2nd house down on the left) that sells orange juice, coke, water, beer, cigarettes and some snacks and there is a small market next to the elephant camp selling fruit, hot and cold snacks, drinks such as water, coke, fanta, juices, milk and beer along with other essentials such as batteries, mobile phone top up cards and toilet tissue. The camp usually has good coverage for all Thai phone networks *if you are staying in Thailand for more than a couple of weeks it is worth buying a Thai sim card for your mobile. They are available in Ban Am Phur for 90 Baht with phone credit cards available for 50/100/300 Baht
If you stay in the guesthouse accommodation there is a small convenience store next door. Internet access is available at the guesthouse.
If you stay at the camp and need the Internet the nearest Internet access is approximately 15 minutes away in Ban Am Phur. There are also ATM's, laundry and 7-11 stores here
There are motorbike taxis and Baht buses (songthaews) within easy reach of the camp and guesthouse for transportation to anywhere in the local area. Please call Sam if you would like to arrange transport

Medical supplies: the shop at the camp sells plasters and the market sells basic medication (painkillers) and there are drugstores approximately 15 minutes away where you can also consult a doctor
